He Said/We Said: Moncler Gamme Bleu

dapperQ is proud to present the third installment of He Said/We Said, based on the Spring 2011 line from Moncler Gamme Bleu menswear.  HS/WS is the brainchild of its series editor: Anita Dolce Vita. Photos by Photographer and DJ Vito Fun.

April’s He Said/WeSaid features one of New York’s hottest transmen, his exquisite girlfriend, a sexy selection of andro and butch dykes, and a fierce and flirty femme each modeling a look that they individually fashioned around a Spring 2011 Moncler Gamme Bleu menswear ensemble. This installment offers more assorted, mouth-watering flavors than the X-rated sweets section at the Candy Lady in Albuquerque, NM. Did you really think I was going to let you down after last month’s tasty spread?

The photo shoot took place at Superfine, a restaurant and bar that offers thirst-quenching cocktails, amazing organic food, a free pool table, and live music. Superfine is owned and operated by three women, Laura Taylor, Cara Lee Sparry and Tanya Rand, who opened the establishment 10 years ago and have successfully made the DUMBO queer positive space a New York City staple. (Superfine does not have a website as of yet- they spread by word of mouth, so help ’em out! See address below).

He Said: Moncler Gamme Bleu, Spring 2011

As if having hot models and an amazing location weren’t enough, I was also honored to have the installment photographed by DJ Vito Fun, who was assisted by the lovely Jessica Resler. If you don’t know who Vito Fun and Jessica Resler are, you should! Jessica, founder of Muffin Cupcake, helped co-produce the much talked about Rock and Roll Circus, as featured in Rolling Stone, the New York Times, and the Times Magazine. Summer 2011 marks Photographer and DJ Vito Fun’s fifth year as the only resident DJ at the resort at Fire Island Pines. Even more exciting is that Heritage of Pride (HOP) has announced the he will be one of the featured DJs for this year’s Dance on the Pier, the official end-of-Pride dance party. Vito Fun and his work have been featured in publications such as Vice Magazine, New York Magazine, Time Out New York, and the Village Voice just to name just a few.

Our transgressor-in-chief, Susan Herr, has been asking me to post images of myself on dapperQ, but I’ve been reluctant to do so (for reasons that I should save for my therapist). However, given the stellar roster mentioned above, I decided that this shoot would be the perfect time to do some transgressing of my own. I’ve given the “come hither” tug on a tie or two in my day and wanted to feel what it was like on the opposite end (let me say, it hurts so good).

  • It was such a pleasure to be a part of this project with DJ Vito Fun and Jessica. Mila, Rachel, Tiq and Victoria look aaaamazing – love their styles! And of course, working with my girl Juanita is always the most special part of everything.

  • I truly enjoyed being a part of this installment! I remember first seeing the Moncler ensemble thinking, “how am I going to recreate this for myself?”. First the thought process, then actually going out shopping and putting pieces together, down to the actual shoot was all fun for me. Everyone looks sooo amazing and I am seriously contemplating a blown up version of me and Tiq for our apartment! Thanks again for having me 🙂 I still have to contact DJ Vito Fun for those energy boosters 😉
