Here at dapperQ, we get a zillion e-mails from aspiring bow tie designers, spend hours surfing the web for dapper bow ties, frequently lust over the bow ties that Blaine wears on Glee, and basically nerd out over all things bow tie related. Queer owned and operated This Humble Abode is not messin’ around with no clip-on nonsense. This self-tying beauty is $60.

8. MODERN DAY MOGUL CONFETTI BOW TIE

Modern Day Mogul unisex bow ties have been receiving kudos everywhere from the New York Times to Vibe magazine. Their “Confetti” bow tie is one of my favorites. $35 from Modern Day Mogul.

7. FOX AND BRIE TAWNY FLORAL BOW TIE

Fox & Brie freestyle handmade, limited edition bow ties are made with 100% natural fibers. Tawny Floral bow tie is $45 from Fox and Brie.

6. COTTON TREATS ARTHUR POINTED REVERSIBLE BOW TIE

This bow tie gives four looks for the price of one (visit site for two additional looks). At $30 for a really hip design in cool colors, I say not bad. Cotton Treats via 80s Purple.

4. FLORAL & BARK CHAMBRAY REVERSIBLE BOW TIE

This General Knot & Co. deadstock bow tie gives two looks in one and has both masculine and feminine touches. $41 from General Knot & Co.

3. AMBIANCE COUTURE SYMPHONY TRIO BOW TIE

23-year-old lesbian designer Silki Harris is behind this jeweled velvet, herringbone, and suede bow tie. $29.99 from Ambiance Couture.

2. CORE SINE LABE DOLI CERAMIC BOW TIES

These ceramic bow ties are double and sometimes triple cooked; bow-tie ribbons are hand sewed by Italian tailors. This is begging to be a family heirloom. $223 from Cor Sine Labe Doli.

1. DISTINGUISHED CRAVAT PLUM SKY BOW TIE

  Our favorite dandy queer bow tie designer, Kate Ross, continued to knock our socks off this year with breath taking designs. This one-of-a-kind bow tie is one of my favorites and still available at Distinguished Cravat for $65.

HONORABLE MENTION…

Steve & Co. knitted bow ties were hard to leave out of my top 10. Grab one (or a few) for 40 EUR and up at Steve & Co.

All the Hollywood types from masculine to feminine are rocking this and other Christopher Chaun bow ties. While I personally love the $275 and up trend, I felt that the ceramic Cor Sine Labe Doli bow tie was a more timeless bling investment.
