Finally! A New York Fashion Week Party for YOU!!!

Twice a year, starving models in stilettos and the fashionable gays who dress them mob the streets of New York City for New York Fashion Week (NYFW). I’ve lived in Manhattan now for 12 years and have seen and felt how the city becomes electric during these two special weeks. There are celebrity sightings. Blogs and magazines and newspapers and even public access channels are all covering every juicy minute-by-minute detail of NYFW. Bars and nightclubs that are usually low-key and free to enter become velvet-rope-VIP-only-doorman protected. Galleries transform their spaces to accommodate catwalks. Amazing newbie-indie designers have Brooklyn warehouse shows in the hopes of getting just a glimmer of press. The entire city becomes a fashion playground.

For those of you who could care less about fashion, you probably don’t notice much but the annoyance of drunk aspiring actresses trying to sober up on your stoop at 4am. But, for those of us who love fashion, we know that NYFW is the SUPERBOWL of style. However, there are few events/tents/runway shows/parties, if any, that cater to stylish masculine-of-center lesbians, masculine gender queers, and trans men.
